Identification Requirements

In order to have a document Notarized or to submit fingerprints for a background check, you must present one of the following forms of identification:

1. California driver's license or California identification card

2. U.S. passport or passport card

3. Other states' driver's license or identification card

4. Canadian driver's license or identification card

5. Mexican driver's license

6. Foreign passport (stamped by USCIS)

7. Military identification card (which includes signature)

8. CA inmate identification (if inmate is in custody)

9. Employee identification card issued by the state of California, or any city, county or city and county in the state of California
